George has been servicing the Asia Pacific IT & Telecommunication markets for the past 30 years. He has worked with a number of large American MNCs to drive their business in Asia. He has also helped to setup the presence of a number of US start-up companies in Asia and has driven their new business in the region. A number of them have lead to acquisition and hence George was instrumental in developing them into highly profitable outcomes.
Besides this, George had been active with the ATiS (Association of Telecommunication for Singapore), a non-profit telecom industry body in Singapore. ATiS is also part of ATIE (Asia Telecom Information Exchange Forum. ATIE provides direct participation from similar telecom industry organizations in Asia Pacific; Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India, Australia and Malaysia. He remains at the heart of the Telecom community; contributing to the industry growth and best practices.
Prior to joining Vision Consulting, George was the regional VP for South East Asia and India with BroadSoft Inc. BroadSoft is US based software company that manufactures and resells IP Telephony and Unified communication to service providers. They are also starting to offer such services as UCaaS in the cloud.
During his tenure at BroadSoft, he substantially grew the business by over 200%. He worked with and won a number of new projects and accounts with SingTel, Star Hub, Maxis Berhad, Time Telekom, Packet One, TOT, TRUE, PT Indosat, Dialog Broadband, VNPT, Viettel, PLDT, Globe Telecom, Vodafone and Reliance India.
Some of his other key appointments in Asia pacific are as follows:
In Bay Networks (now known as Avaya) and Enterasys Networks, George contributed significantly to the growth of the companies’ business in Asia in various roles; Regional sales director for South east Asia, Channel Director for Asia, Regional head for distribution business in Asia.
George also lead the business in Asia for US start-up organizations, such as Sitara Networks, Convergence Networks and Sylantro. Over this time, he drove key sales, marketing and channel strategy across the enterprise and Telecom industry; building sales teams and managing offices across Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Japan and Australia.
