Sandy Von Stackelberg – North America

Sandy has been doing international sales and marketing for over 47 years. Though born in Washington, DC, as a preteen student he lived in France and Germany, therefore speaks French and German and later studied Russian and Spanish. Later he received a BA in Economics and BS in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and an international MBA from Boston U. Subsequently he worked for industrial firms such as Litton and Emerson and then for 20 years selling defense electronics for United Technologies and Raytheon. He has been based in Tehran, Paris, Brussels (responsible for the Middle East and Eastern Europe) and Mumbai.

Changing to the Medical Device industry, he acted as general manager for Boston Scientific in Turkey, Central Europe and India. Sandy founded a small consulting firm called MedEntry International whose focus was bringing the small and medium sized medical device firms to the international market place.  For the last ten years he has worked as the International Director of HydroCision responsible for sometimes 40% of their revenue and also as VP International for Vertebral Technologies starting their global business from scratch to half a million dollars. Most recently he has started an international consultancy, Med Launch International helping clients find distributors overseas as well as across US. His focus is on developing channel management of medical distribution across his established markets and relationship network. Sandy’s years of industry experience at constructing unique networks across varied geographies makes him an invaluable asset as Senior Advisor to VISION’s Medical Technology & Life Sciences Division.
